Circle Around The Room- Yesterday we whipped and shared something important to us (Family, Friends, Video Games, Food). Today I’m asking you to try and think of something else that’s important to you and share that. Challenge yourself.

Take Seats- Same Groups – Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, TAKE OUT ELA HW

Timer- “Midnight Train to Georgia” – Gladys Knight and The Pips (1973, 4:23)

(COPY)-And DO THIS-  Prompt- Yesterday’s list included- family, chicken, mother, video games, music, being curious, myself, food, Netflix, pets, and diary.

Choose something important from this list and write down 3 anecdotes about it.

  • Main Idea- A main idea is important information that tells more about the overall idea of a paragraph or section of a text.

  • Step 1- What are the verbs and nouns in our SLT?
  • Step 2- What changed since yesterday?
  • Step 3- What do those Verbs and Nouns tell us?

  • Practice Identifying Context and Anecdote.
    • Underline Context
    • Put *’s next to Anecdotes
  • Interpret the meaning of each essay in your Class Notebook.
