Prompt- Evaluate (rank) the following reasons Katniss won the Hunger Games in your notebook:

  • She gets sponsors
  • She is thin and has long hair
  • She can kill people from distance
  • She’s from District 12
  • They’re scared of her.

When you’re gathering evidence, ask yourself, does this really prove my point?

Let’s look at the following quotes-

  • The characteristic of animals to survive mass extinctions is the ones that are able to move to a different area.
    • Does this explain why a species is best equipped to survive a mass extinction?
  • I collected that 200,000 years ago our sweat glands allowed us to stay cool and maintain energy. Sometimes we lose heat thought the respiratory passages and most of it is lost threw the skin.
    • Does this explain why a species is best equipped to survive a mass extinction?
  • Dogs can hear the sound of prey attempting to flee or hide, even if they cannot see their targets.
    • Does this explain why a species is best equipped to survive a mass extinction?
