    • The Title- Of Mice And Men comes from 1783, the poem, “Of A Mouse” by Robert Burns
    • The verse reads-

        In proving foresight may be vain:

        The best laid schemes o’ mice an’ men

        Gang aft a-gley, [often go awry]

        An’ lea’e us nought but grief an’ pain,

        For promised joy.

      • Interpreting the quote into my own words-
        • No matter how great your plans, they can still not workout.
        • Using that, how does that now frame our reading?
        • How does that apply to The American Dream?

  • How does the fight at the end of Chapter 3 affect the dreams of Characters in Of Mice And Men? Think about what it means for at least 2 characters- Slim, Curly, Lennie, and George.
