Timer- “Day-O (The Banana Boat Song)” -Harry Belafonte (1956, 3:07) 

Prompt-  Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR), in a State of the Union address to the United States, proposed 4 fundamental freedoms that people “everywhere in the world” ought to enjoy.

Do you believe that you enjoy these 2 freedoms?

1. Freedom from want

2. Freedom from fear

  • Explain why or why not you enjoy these freedoms in 2-3 sentences.

  •  I can use information from and around my quote to explain why it shows that a freedom is evident or at risk.

When Text Coding Our Books As We Read, something to consider is that we don’t always have to text code for when someone’s life is going to horribly.
